The Nash

The Nash occupies the same 1970 office tower on Printer's Alley that made the Bobby Hotel a downtown fixture since 2018, and a $50 million sale in late 2025 brought it into the Opal Collection rather than tearing it down and starting over. Management has been explicit that this is an evolution, not a reinvention: the art-forward rooms, the exposed concrete and brass, and the alley's honky-tonk-and-neon backdrop are all still here. What changed is the name — drawn from the old nickname for the city itself — and a refreshed food and beverage program built around two new concepts.

Ink & Ivory is the hotel's ground-floor restaurant, a dark, low-lit room with layered textures and close-in seating built for a market-driven menu of shareable plates sourced from local purveyors — the kind of space you'd choose for a date or a long dinner before heading out into the alley. Ten stories up, Elevate takes over the rooftop with handcrafted cocktails and inventive bites against a wide-open view of the Nashville skyline, and it sits alongside the hotel's seasonal rooftop pool, still one of the better warm-weather hangouts downtown. The retrofitted 1956 Scenicruiser bus parked up there remains the property's signature oddity, now used as event and gathering space for groups.

For visitors, the pitch hasn't really shifted: this is a design-driven, slightly theatrical hotel a five-minute walk from Broadway, built for people who want to be in the middle of downtown without staying in a generic convention hotel. The rebrand adds a bit more polish and a Preferred Hotels / Opal Collection loyalty tie-in, but the core experience — bold rooms, a lively roof, and Printer's Alley right outside the door — is the same one Bobby regulars already knew.
