Pins Mechanical Co.
A Gulch warehouse packed with 16 duckpin bowling lanes, dozens of pinball machines, and free-play vintage arcade games, built for exactly the kind of loud, low-stakes group night a birthday calls for. Private booths and full-lane buyouts scale from a table of eight to a full venue takeover.
Pins took an old warehouse just off 11th Avenue in the Gulch and filled it with duckpin bowling — the smaller-ball, stubbier-pin version of the game that's more about laughing at your own gutter balls than actually scoring well — plus a wall of pinball machines and free-to-play classic arcade cabinets, with proceeds from the arcade benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities. Three separate bars mean the group never has to walk far for a round, and the space is split into distinct zones so a birthday party can claim a corner without renting out the whole building.
For a group birthday, the reserved-space tiers do the deciding for you: a lounge area with arcade and patio-game access runs from $200 for two hours, a table with a lane or two starts at $500, and a full buyout with 7-10 lanes runs $1500 and up, all on a two-hour minimum with an hourly add-on rate after that. Kids' birthdays get their own packages — the High Score Package covers lane time and unlimited soft drinks at $14 a head, and the Final Boss Package adds snacks and favor bags for $25 — so it works as well for a 10-year-old's Saturday afternoon as it does for a 30th birthday that starts with dinner and ends at last call.
It's built for a crowd that wants to move around rather than sit at one table all night — people drift between lanes, pinball, cornhole on the patio, and the bar, which makes it forgiving for a birthday group with a wide age range or mixed interests. Weeknights after 4pm and Friday-Saturday after 8pm are 21+, so daytime weekend hours are the move for a party with kids.
