Petition to End Racing at Fairgrounds Speedway Clears 75,000 Signatures

Restore Our Fairgrounds delivered nearly 75,000 signatures to the Davidson County Election Commission, reigniting a long-running fight over the fairgrounds site that includes the historic short track, flea market, and expo center just south of downtown.
If certified, the petition could send the question of whether racing continues at the fairgrounds to a citywide ballot.
