Second Avenue's Rebuild Continues With New Development for Two Historic Buildings

Second Avenue — lined with honky-tonks and tourist shops just steps from Broadway — has been in a slow rebuild since the 2020 bombing damaged dozens of buildings along the block.
The latest project targets two of the street's historic structures for redevelopment, a sign the district's recovery is entering a new phase that visitors strolling downtown will start to notice.
